PUNTA GORDA, FL (October 2, 2013) – The September 12th Charlotte High School (CHS) game against Lely High School boasted two outstanding players.
According to Coach Binky Waldrop, Seniors Dwayne and Dwight Reynolds played an outstanding game, with combined stats of 11 catches, over 180 yards, and three touchdowns. Because of this, the twins were each named “ER Extra Player of the Game.”
Each home game of the season, Charlotte Regional names one Charlotte High football player as the “ER Extra Player of the Game.” “Since Charlotte High football is known for its tradition, we thought it would be nice to continue this tradition we started four years ago,” said José Morillo, CEO of Charlotte Regional Medical Center. “After each home game, we award one player the ‘ER Extra Player of the Game’ trophy to congratulate him for his ‘extra great’ contribution to the team during that game.”
