PUNTA GORDA, FL (May 2, 2013) – The Wellness Center at Charlotte Regional Medical Center is recognizing the national observance Exercise is Medicine Month® by hosting a nutrition lecture and offering free body fat analysis screenings.
According to their website, Exercise is Medicine® Month was launched in 2008 as a time for health care providers, fitness professionals, the public, and supporting organizations and constituents to recognize, emphasize, and celebrate the valuable health benefits of exercise on a national scale.
On Tuesday, May 21st at 9 a.m., the public is invited to attend a lecture “Healthy Nutrition” by Donna Dunbar, Registered Dietician. The lecture will be held in the Wellness Center’s aerobics room, located at 733 E. Olympia Avenue, Punta Gorda. To register for the lecture, please call (941) 637-2450.
In addition, the week of May 20 – 24, the Wellness Center will be conducting free body fat analysis screenings. Screenings by appointment only. Please call (941) 637-2450 to schedule your free screening today.
