Punta Gorda, FL (July 19, 2012) - Each quarter, Charlotte Regional Medical Center awards three employees for exemplifying its Getting to Great (G2G) principles. G2G is the hospital’s cornerstone culture initiative to ensure that “who we are, what we do, and how we work continually advances our core mission: To enable America’s best local healthcare.”
For its second quarter, Charlotte Regional gave out the following awards:
NURSE OF THE QUARTER. Kerry Geiger, Clinical Coordinator at Riverside Behavioral Center. Kerry is an exceptional team player; she is always willing to help and participate. She is enthusiastic about learning and really strives to make things better and is known for being “there” - willing to work hard to see better results. Kerry is well-regarded by staff and her peers. She is a friend to many and someone with whom we are proud to work.
ASSOCIATE OF THE QUARTER. Sandy Wingren, PCA, Telemetry Department. Sandy is an exceptionally caring and considerate patient care tech and co-worker. She is wonderful to work with, and it’s no wonder her patients love her.
DIRECTOR OF THE QUARTER. Cheryl Quimby, Surgical Services Director. Cheryl is a highly regarded colleague, a supportive manager, and an all-around great person. She has facilitated increased physician collaboration and continues to play an active role in our Joint & Spine Academies.
