Port Charlotte, FL (January 3, 2014) – Charlotte County’s first baby born in 2014 is Lizandro Miguel Aguilar. Mom, Veronica Valdez, and Dad, Miguel Aguilar, are overjoyed with their new son, who was born at 11:55am, January 2nd, at Bayfront Health Port Charlotte (formerly Peace River Regional Medical Center). The baby weighed in at 9 pounds, 2.6 ounces, and is 21 inches long.
This is the couple’s first child. “We are so thrilled that our son is the first baby born in Charlotte County in 2014,”, said Veronica. The family lives in Arcadia.
The hospital presented the new parents with a gift basket filled with diapers, clothing, blankets, baby’s first teddy bear, and other helpful items, to celebrate the first baby born in the New Year.
“Every birth is special Bayfront Health Port Charlotte, but we always enjoy celebrating the first new baby each year,” said Sandy Mullins, Director of Women’s Newborn Services at the hospital.
