PORT CHARLOTTE, Fla. (Sept. 24, 2015) – Bayfront Health Medical Group welcomes the addition of Geoffrey Roelant, M.D., and Tiffani Shelton, D.O. to its practice. Both began seeing patients on Sept. 21 in their offices located in the Bayfront Health Medical Office Plaza on the campus of Bayfront Health Punta Gorda. Dr. Roelant specializes in minimally invasive and robotic-assisted surgical procedures. Dr. Shelton also specializes in minimally invasive procedures and has a particular interest in the management of breast disease.

Dr. Roelant is board certified in general surgery and has been practicing for seven years. He previously practiced in North Florida, treating a variety of conditions affecting almost any area of the body and specializing in minimally invasive surgical techniques, including robotic-assisted and laparoscopic procedures. Dr. Roelant received his medical degree from the University of Maryland and his residency at The Ohio State University.
Dr. Shelton is a board eligible general surgeon who performs a variety of open and minimally invasive procedures, including abdominal surgery, breast surgery, and endocrine surgery. She received her undergraduate degree from the University of Missouri-Columbia, medical degree from the Kansas City University of Medicine and Biosciences, and her residency at Des Moines University-Mercy Medical Center in Iowa. Prior to medical school, she spent four years active duty as a combat medic with the Unites States Army.
