Bayfront Health Celebrates American Heart Month with You
PORT CHARLOTTE, FL (January 14, 2014) – Get close to your heart in February by celebrating American Heart Month with Bayfront Health. Learn how to improve and maintain heart health at various events and activities throughout the month.
“February is American Heart Month and as Charlotte County’s American Heart Association My Heart.My Life cause partner, we have a line-up of activities and events planned to educate the community on how to improve and maintain heart health throughout the month,” says Marti Van Veen, system director of marketing and business development at Bayfront Health. “By putting hearts front and center, our goal is to raise awareness and help our neighbors live healthier lives, free of stroke and cardiovascular disease.”
1st Annual HeART Contest for Children K-3
Bayfront Health Port Charlotte’s 1st annual HeART Contest is open to boys and girls in grades K-3. Winners and their parents/guardians will be invited to a presentation ceremony Monday, February 17th. Each winner will have their artwork displayed for one year in the Heart Center and their schools will receive an art donation.

6th Annual Pantyhose-Free Zone Women’s Expo

Ride Your Heart Out Poker-Run to Benefit the American Heart Association

Bayfront Health is revving up for their first annual Ride Your Heart Out Poker-Run to benefit the American Heart Association. The run will begin at Bayfront Health Punta Gorda’s Medical Office Building parking lot on Saturday, February 22. Registration will start at 10am. The run will begin at 10:30am, end at Black Widow Harley Davidson and include 4 other stops along the way. Participants will enjoy a BBQ lunch at the ride’s end and prizes for the best and worst hands will be given.
